Roles and Responsibilities of a Tutor:

As a tutor with Cencadian Educational, The following are your duties and responsibilities:

1. Providing online and in-person one-on-one Weekday, Evening and weekend tutoring support to students in elementary, middle and high school in a variety of grades and subjects.

2. Preparing learning materials and demonstrate expertise in the subject area tutors plan to teach.

3. Intimating students with program expectations and schedule weekly tutoring sessions. Program expectations include: Punctuality and readiness for classes, Quiet and conducive environment for learning, 24 hours notification if student will not be available for class and Submission of homework 24 hours before the class

4. Diligently working with students to review classroom topics and assignments, as well as the curriculum topics to help them understand key points and ideas to drive home the concepts they might have learned during classes in school.

5. Teaching students important skills to improve academic outcomes such as note taking strategies, approaches to answering test questions, and general study skills.

6. Providing additional materials to supplement classroom lectures, which include study guide, pictorial diagrams, and charts.

7. Assisting students with homework, projects, talks, and presentations for effective outcomes.

8. Organizing, giving, and grading assignments and tests promptly to track students’ progress while identifying key areas of improvement in each subject

9. Interacting with students to provide academic and study advice, as well as provide feedback on students’ strength, weakness, and areas of interest.

10. Communicating with students, parents, teachers, or guardians on their performance regularly through emails, letters, phones, and other possible means.

11. Maintaining timely reporting by providing vital information to parents and supervisors on students’ performance and progress, as well as information on areas of their strength for proper academic and career decisions.

12. Demonstrating good communication skill that will help to deliver the required information to the student in a simplified and easy to understand mode.

13. Maintaining a good organizational skill to present and represent information and data in good form and manner. These include keeping students learning logs, creating student portfolios and maintaining samples of students' work.

14. Maintaining a friendly disposition, patience, empathy, and compassion for students as they respond to teaching at their own pace while developing the required skill.

15. Participating in team meetings, attending and assisting with events as required
